Dr. Mohamed Senousy

Dr. Mohamed Senousy, fondly known as Dr Mo. Born and raised in Esna, Dr. Mo has a deep-rooted connection to the city and its heritage, inspiring his lifelong mission to share Esna’s timeless beauty and culture with the world.

Dr. Mo’s Background

  • A Son of Esna: Growing up in this historic city, Dr. Mo developed a profound appreciation for its monuments, traditions, and vibrant community life. His experiences in Esna have shaped his career and commitment to preserving its legacy.
  • Academic Excellence: Holding a PhD in Indigenous Nubian Art History with a specialization in Tourism Guidance, Dr Mo has dedicated his studies to celebrating and safeguarding Egypt’s rich cultural identity.
  • Global Recognition: Dr. Mo is a proud Pro-Fellow of the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, where he has collaborated on initiatives to promote and document traditional crafts, folklore, and intangible heritage.
  • Professional Experience: For over 20 years, Dr. Mo has served as an English-speaking guide and operator aboard the iconic Historical Steam Ship Sudan 1885, providing travelers with unique insights into Egypt’s history and culture.
  • Cultural Leadership: As the former Cultural Manager of the Digital Bridges Organization, he worked with leading institutions to promote Egyptian heritage at national and international levels.

Dr. Aya Gaber

Dr Aya Gaber is a distinguished scholar and a dynamic contributor to the preservation and promotion of Egypt's cultural heritage. With a Ph.D in Tourism Guidance focusing on "Ancient Heritage in Coptic Wall Paintings" from Minia University and an MBA in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Management, Banking, and Financial Sciences, she bridges academia and leadership.

Her professional journey includes pivotal roles in high-profile initiatives such as the Decent Life Initiative (Hayah Karima) and the World Youth Forum, alongside her tenure as a public relations specialist with the Real Estate Taxation Authority in Aswan. Dr Aya's experience extends internationally, having been a content writer for Shasta Community College's website in California and participating in the Fulbright Community Colleges Initiative program.

An advocate for capacity building, Dr Aya has undertaken specialized training in leadership, governance, marketing, and national security, enhancing her ability to navigate complex projects and foster community engagement. Her fluency in Arabic and English complements her role as a bridge between diverse audiences.
